Large abdominal wall hernias that would normally require a complex open procedure for repair, are better approached robotically. A robotic-assisted repair is rapidly becoming the gold standard in these complex cases. The use of a minimally invasive approach significantly decreases the length of hospital stay, speeds up recovery, and decreases complications.
