Robotic and Laparoscopic Colon
Surgery
Laparoscopic surgery allows for segments of the colon and/or rectum to be surgically removed through small-incision surgery, using a digital camera and advanced instrumentation. On the other hand, Robotic colorectal surgery is a superior form of minimally invasive surgery that also involves small incisions, but is far better in providing surgical precision, maneuverability, reach, and in reducing complications and hasting patient recovery.

Robotic and Laparoscopic Rectal Surgery
The robotic system has shown an advantage over the laparoscopic approach due to a superior three-dimensional view, improved dexterity, and better ergonomics. These factors make the robotic approach more favored for colorectal surgery than laparoscopy.
